Omarchy Display Control Center
A native C++ and GTK4 utility for brightness, night light, and screen rotation on Hyprland based Linux desktops, with a matching CLI.
// THE STORY
Hyprland gives you hyprctl and hyprsunset for display control. Both are powerful and neither is pleasant for the things you do every day. Changing brightness or turning on a warmer color temperature meant remembering flags.
So I wrapped them. It is a native GTK4 application in C++ that exposes brightness, night light temperature, and screen rotation as real controls, with a CLI for the same operations when you would rather bind something to a key.
It is also the project of mine that other people actually use. Bug reports from strangers running hardware I do not own are a different kind of pressure than a class project.
// WHAT STANDS OUT
Native, not a script wrapper
A real C++ and GTK4 application, not a shell script behind a dialog.
GUI and CLI parity
Every control works from the window and from the command line.
Packaged properly
CMake installable with a documented build.
Used by other people
Running across the Omarchy and Hyprland community, on hardware I do not own.
